Jill joined Riverbend in 2018, bringing 14 years of experience as an educator in university, high school, and K-8 settings. In her role as Education Specialist, Jill works to ensure that Riverbend’s programs model high-quality, best-practice environmental and science education. She also supports Rivberbend’s education team with training and peer coaching. Jill is passionate about repairing and nurturing the relationship between children and nature to promote both the well-being of children and the sustainability and biodiversity of the planet. Jill graduated from Georgetown University (BA, English), Vanderbilt University (MDiv, environmental ethics), and the University of Pennsylvania (PhD, American literature). She is currently completing her training as a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist.
