Nature is Our Classroom
Riverbend builds environmental literacy by providing high quality nature-based STEM education for school students. We use nature as our classroom to teach 21st century learning such as empathy, collaboration and leadership and to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Students participate in hands-on, inquiry-based programs that include direct experiences with nature while achieving academic goals. Riverbend’s educators encourage a student’s curiosity, while sharing their own knowledge. Programs take place on-site at our preserve in Gladwyne and off-site at schools, schoolyards and other nature preserves.
