Join the Riverbend community as we work together to learn about and protect our natural world. Your help today gives our youth the tools and passion needed to care for our spectacular earth.
Whether heading into Philadelphia to teach preschoolers who touch a box turtle for the first time or hosting a suburban group diving deeper into aquaponics in our greenhouse, Riverbend relies on support from you to implement our programs. We're incredibly grateful to those in the community who share our belief in this mission.
Consider a generous gift that nurtures the hope, new talent, and conviction needed to protect our natural world.
Making an online gift today is an easy and immediate way to invest in Riverbend’s programs and preserve.
Ways to Give
Gifts in Honor & Memory
A tribute gift is a wonderful way to acknowledge a special occasion in someone’s life or honor the memory of a loved one -- while also supporting the work of Riverbend Environmental Education Center.
Upon receiving your fully tax-deductible gift, a card is sent to the honoree or their loved ones to let them know of your generosity (the gift amount is kept private). Gifts are also recognized in our semi-annual newsletter, NatureConnect.
Friends of the Bend
It takes many people with a wide range of talents and resources to create a successful organization. In 2013, Riverbend established a society named Friends of the Bend. Friends of the Bend are those folks who have contributed for five or more consecutive years toward the Riverbend mission. For these friends, we create a certificate and plant a tree in honor –a white oak for those who have given for 20 years or more, an American holly for those who have given from 10 to 19 years, and an Eastern redbud for those who have given from 5 to 9 years. Riverbend’s current Friends of the Bend appear in our fall newsletter and are honored each fall at our Red Barn Gathering.
Join the Red Barn Society
Riverbend’s Red Barn Society are those leaders who invest annually in the Riverbend mission through cumulative gifts of $1,000 or greater. Riverbend Red Barn individuals, families, and businesses support a treasured 30-acre preserve with diverse native habitat and essential environmental education programs that serve Greater Philadelphia. Red Barn Society contributors are invited to an annual gathering honoring their deep commitment, traditionally in September with Friends of Bend.
