Ed joined Riverbend in 2025 as the Director of Operations. After proudly serving in the United States Navy for 20 years as a P-3 Orion Naval Flight Officer, Ed retired in 2011 and began a second career of service working in the nonprofit sector. He has worked in organizations providing workforce development services and support to those diagnosed with cancer. At Riverbend he ensures the team is properly equipped with the resources needed to carry out a diverse set of programs and educational experiences for school students and other visitors to the preserve. Ed is a certified Project Management Professional and holds a BA in History from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Regis University, and an MS in Nonprofit Management from Drexel University.
