Join us for a hands-on day of stewardship at Riverbend as we care for the habitats that support wildlife across the preserve. Volunteers will help remove invasive vines such as five-leaf akebia and English ivy—plants that can overwhelm native ecosystems if left unmanaged.
Â
After clearing space for native plants to thrive, participants will help plant a selection of surprise spring perennials propagated by Riverbend’s Habitat Manager, Ayla. These locally grown plants will help strengthen habitat for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife.
Â
Whether you’re new to stewardship or a seasoned volunteer, Habitat Heroes Day is a meaningful way to give back to the land while learning about the importance of native plants and healthy ecosystems.
