Leila is a conservation biologist who went to Bryn Mawr College for her undergraduate degree in Biology. Leila grew up in Mali and Ghana fell in love with nature while traveling to different habitats in West Africa. She has a special fondness for reptiles and amphibians and has worked on several fieldwork based research projects focused on lizards in the American Southwest. Leila started her education journey teaching kids about science at the library near Swarthmore College with her undergraduate lab. She believes that outreach is the most important part of science, and hopes to help break barriers that keep children from science and nature.
