Sam was raised within the greater Philadelphia area. They graduated from Penn State University with a Wildlife and Fisheries Science degree in 2023. Growing up with both parents working in education, Sam enjoyed ample opportunities to explore the outdoors during long camping trips during the communal family summer vacation. Sam quickly came to love the countless creatures that could be found in the wild, especially those that might easily be overlooked. A desire to share this love for the unsung heroes of our ecosystems led to Sam coming to Riverbend as an environmental educator.
